In the autumn of last year, Wes, Isabel and I started to work on the new website for the OFFF event that happens every year. We gathered a team of people within the office and friends from outside to develop a great concept for the site. We’re now a few months away from the actual event, and the website is being developed as we speak.

Héctor, the organizer of the event, invited us to visit his students at OFFF Atelier in Barcelona. So we went their last week. In three days we gave a presentation for the students, we attended the press conference announcing the website and new iPhone app, and we all took day off to enjoy the sun and beaches of Barcelona. Everything went extremely well, and the feedback we got on our presentation made us really proud:

Last week Cas, Wes and Isabel, three design geniuses from our multi-talented Design is Dead flock, flew to Barcelona to teach a Master Class at OFFF and give a press conference to present the main novelties of OFFF 2011.

During an afternoon-long presentation they told a very interested audience all about the work methods, concepting techniques, and project research strategies used at Design is Dead, to list just a few topics they broached. And the participants loved it! According to the OFFF report, it was “one of the best Master Classes we’ve ever had the pleasure of attending!” Qué guayyyyyyyyyy!

This is a small recap of those 3 days, and it explains very well how great it is to work with the team we have. We work hard, we sometimes have (very) long days, we do almost everything outside of the normal working hours or in the weekend. But we always do it together, every decision is agreed upon, and we all share the same commitment and affection for the project. And when you have a team like that, working becomes a lot of fun, which you might notice in the movie.

The movie is beautifully made by Wesley Nijssen. And if you like my fancy T-shirt I’m wearing in the movie, it’s made by Anna Lundqvist
